Portrait size: 8" x 10"
This portrait was booked by a previous commissionee Sarah, who has had a few portraits of her own Boxer boys. Her friend had recently lost Eric and she wanted to give her a very special gift, and asked me to do a pencil portrait of him. Sarah wanted the full works and requested a frame too. The final portrait is now lovingly treasured by Eric's Mum.
" I can not thank you enough it's like seeing him all over again.
You have got every little detail of my boy!
I collected him from the sorting office at 7.30am lol been up since 2am! it's beautiful xxx "
A time lapse showing the creation of Erics left eye, see how I apply numerous layers to achieve the realism.
Here is a progress video, showing close ups of the detail I apply to all my pencil portraits. It gives you a better view of the colours too.
Although I do not provide framing with my pencil portraits, I can organise framing if it is for a small portrait and the customer is happy to pay extra for the framing service. Sarah had previously ordered frames for her own portraits, and as smaller portraits are less likely to get damaged during transit, a frame was added. She chose a striking gold frame with double mount and a gold name plaque.
