This acrylic painting is a unique piece that showcases a Kingfisher perched on a wooden post at Spital Point in Newbiggin-by-the-Sea, Northumberland. The artwork captures a fleeting moment as the Kingfisher pauses momentarily on the post before swiftly taking flight again.
I created this artwork using GOLDEN Heavy Body acrylics, known for their incredibly smooth and thick texture. These paints offer exceptional permanence and are resistant to fading, ensuring my work is archival. The surface used is a superior quality Gessobord by Ampersand that is resistant to warping, acid-free, and archival, ensuring the artwork's long-term preservation.
One of the features of this painting is incorporating a modest quantity of GOLDEN Pumice Gel in order to introduce a subtle texture to the surface of the post upon which the Kingfisher is perched. This painting was crafted using GOLDEN heavy body acrylics, known for their high pigment content and excellent lightfastness. The substrate is a superior Gessobord by Ampersand, a premium, warp-resistant wood panel that is acid-free and archival, guaranteeing the artwork's durability.
