Casper - Springer Spaniel portraitAnyone who owns a Springer knows that they can run for miles and just love water, this image was taken by myself when we took our 3 dogs down to the beach in Newbiggin-by-the-Sea last summer. Casper just loves to splash around in water, preferably dirty water but I thought this captures the Springer Spaniel breed so well.

CREATING THE PORTRAIT:
Living in the coastal town of Newbiggin-by-the-Sea, and a 5 minute walk away from the beach, the opportunity of taking the dogs (2 Labs & a Springer) and the camera out on a photoshoot is always there and so, with the sun shining and Casper happily splashing around the rock pools, I was able to capture some ideal reference images, but this one stood out for me as the lighting and the colouration was perfect, ensuring a beautiful composition.
