Jack Russell in Coloured pencils

Casey had sadly passed a few weeks before and this portrait was gifted by mutual friends of Casey's mum, via Facebook. Lynda, who lives in the USA, followed progress of the portrait on this page. He arrived home on Boxing Day. This beautiful composition was the perfect choice to immortalise, looking at his loved ones every day. The lead and connector was unnecessary and it was decided that a name tag would replace it. This was a tag that was gifted to Casey's owner as a memorial after his passing.

Casey is framed and on the wall! Every day I am more and more amazed at how Karen saw every detail that was important to me, and then put it perfectly to paper. From the little scar he got while filching a treat from a friend, to the little wrinkle lines on his nose (which incidentally are what made me fall in love with him at 8 weeks old), she captured them perfectly.
