Working as an Art Tutor, I rarely get chance to sit down and produce something for fun and relaxation, however when my Dad decided he wanted Marilyn in his newly decorated room - I dug out the piece I had spent just a couple of hours on at the DOA Exhibition this year and decided to complete it - adding a hint of red (and sparkle!) to compliment the colour tones of his room.
As I love fine detail and realism in my work, I felt I had to improve the details of the poor photographic image that I am working from, and have set to work adding as much detail as possible, and although the Artwork below may appear complete, there is still much more to add. Graphite pencils are such a wonderful medium for portraits, giving such depth and realism to a piece!
