MEDIUM: Coloured Pencils
CREATING THE PORTRAIT:
The original photograph was a large sized image which made it easy to zoom in and grab detail although I did have to make a few edits and also chose to remove any dirt from Tia's underbelly whilst keeping the wet fur look. I always ensure I create an overall balance of detail, toning down a colour such as the bright pink name tag to ensure the main focal point stays on Tia's beautiful face. The bench Tia is stood on was an important part of the drawing and I ensured the detail complimented the strokes of Tia's fur too.
