Having spent many years favouring Wildlife & Birds Artwork, I have now branched out by producing Landscapes too, hence the reason this page is still very limited with pieces, however, I do plan on adding a lot more Landscapes to my website so please do drop by from time to time for updates.

This piece is a painting of Linacre Woods in the UK.  I am very lucky to live so close to such a beautiful part of Chesterfield in Derbyshire and love nothing more than taking a bike ride upto Linacre in the Summer, surrounded by lots of Wildlife such as Kingfishers, Woodpeckers, Jays, Owls and so much more!

This image portrays the early morning warmth of the rising sun coupled with the frost of an October morning, hence the title

Another painting of a place very close to where I live, it is known as Holmebrook Valley Park and has a small lake frequented by a couple of Swans, who produce a family every year.  Rangers place a protective fence around the nest area whilst the cygnets are still young to protect them from dogs and walkers and as the cygnets are brought up around people feeding them bread, they become pretty fearless and I have been seen to be completely surrounded by fully grown cygnets all stretching their necks to take the bread from my hands..the fact that they are nearly as tall as me, does nothing to put me off standing in the middle of them all!
The lake is also home to Mallards, Coots, Moorhens, Canada Geese and of course the Great Crested Grebe which is the birds shown in this piece. Rangers have built platforms in the middle of the lake for these birds to nest and although this image shows the pair close together, the 2 birds were added to the painting and were not on the original photographic image.

Here I am painting away at a Bluebells piece, taken by a wonderful photographer, Mike Barber, who captured this image in Spring at Dockey Woods, Hertfordshire, UK.

This piece, as you can see, is quite a large piece and once completed will be framed and available for sale with prints available to purchase too. If you are interested in this piece, please drop me a line for a price.

There is still quite a lot of work to go into this piece and as I have lots of other work to complete first, it will not be completed for a while.
