German Shorthaired Pointer
Trixie is a friend's German short-haired pointer. Having gone out for a walk one day with a them and a couple of other friend's and dogs, I took the camera to capture some photo's, not intending to take any that could be used for a drawing, but Trixie posed so well and at the end of the walk, she jumped into the back of Mum's car for a bit of a snooze....I captured many lovely images of this scene including this one that I just had to draw.

THE COMPLETED PORTRAIT
THE PORTRAIT IN PRINT:
I took a few photos of Trixie, a friend's GSP a few years back and really liked the composition so knew I would turn it into a portrait at some point. That moment came when I needed a few new pieces of Art to include in a Colored pencil Magazine Article that I was asked to be their featured Artist in July 2015. Here is a copy of the Gallery page.
